Atlas Professionals has a full time position open as a Offshore Crane/Gangway Operator to work in United States. Our client is looking for someone with an offshore crane background that is willing to get TRAINED to work on their equipment. The starting salary is $92,000 annually, and after successful completion of the training pipeline there is a $3,000 cash bonus! Job description

The job would be on a Walk-to-Work vessel with a Motion Compensated Crane that is installed. This heave/pitch-roll compensated crane has specific technical features which are new in the industry. As a Crane/Gangway Operator, it is your job to:

  • operate the crane to perform lifting duties at sea and on platforms
  • execute small maintenance on the crane
  • manage the deck jobs and maintenance.

Beyond that, you are the Person in Command (PIC) of the motion compensated (MC) gangway. The MC gangway is in use to transfer service and maintenance staff to the platforms of Onegas. In close cooperation with the deck department and engineers, it is your job to:

  • operate the MC gangway
  • ensure safe transfer of the service and maintenance staff to and from the platforms
  • monitor whether the equipment is used safely and correctly
  • execute small preventive and corrective maintenance for the installation on hydraulic-, electric- and mechanical equipment.

Job requirements

- US Citizen or Permanent resident.

- Valid Passport

- Mechanical background with Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge

- Crane Operator stage 2 or 3 certificates or relevant background (Candidates with an expired certificate may be considered)

- Solid offshore experience (at least 3-5 years)

- Offshore certificates (BOSIET/ HUET with CA-EBS, Offshore Medical (OGUK), Seaman’s Book)

- Hands on mentality person

- Strong leadership skills

- Ability to work independently

- Good communication skills and safety mindset
